| 1998 Early Harvest Regional Trial | ||||||
| All clones grown in the Washington Early Harvest Regional trial produced uniformly light French Fries. Seven of the entries, including the check Shepody, produced fries with average Photovolt reading of 50 or higher. TX1385-12Ru has produced fries with Photovolt readings in the 50's for 3 consecutive years. AC87084-3 and AO87277-6 have both produced fries with Photovolt readings in the 50's for 2 consecutive years. (Table 3) | ||||||
| All clones grown in the Idaho Early Harvest Regional trial produced French Fries with average Photovolt readings in the 40's or 50's with the exception of TXNS112 which averaged 36. All entries, except TXNS112, had USDA color ratings of 0. Both AC88165-3 and TXNS112 produced fries which had unacceptable differences between the stem and bud ends. (Table 3a) | ||||||
