Calculus–Early Transcendentals, 5th ed., by James Stewart

Grading Criteria:

Homework Assignments 50 pts
Two Midterm Exams (100 pts each) 200 pts
Final Exam 150 pts
Total Possible 400 pts

Exams:

The final exam will be comprehensive, emphasizing material after the last midterm. Make-up exams will not be given. If a test is missed for a fully documented, valid reason (as determined by the instructor), your total points will be prorated to reflect this change. The instructor must be notified prior to the scheduled examination. Cheating on an exam will result in a final grade of F for the entire course, will be reported to the Office of Student Affairs, and will result in additional disciplinary action by the University.

Exam Schedule:

Midterm I: Tuesday, February 7
Midterm 2: Thursday, March 23
Final: Tuesday, May 2, 10:10 AM - 12:10 PM

Homework:

Homework exercises will be assigned each class.  Problems assigned on Tuesday and Thursday of one week will be turned in the next Thursday during lecture (except when midterm exams are scheduled—problems will be turned in the following week).  Assignments must be turned in during class and late homework will not be accepted for any reason. A current list of assigned exercises is posted here.  Each assignment will be worth up to 5 points; your lowest score will be dropped.  Graded homework will be available in the cabinet located outside Neill 222.  Doing homework is essential for learning the material, so you are strongly encouraged to try as many of the exercises in the text as possible.

Accommodation
Reasonable accommodations are available for students who have a documented disability. Please notify the instructor during the first week of class of any accommodations needed for the course. Late notification may cause the requested accommodations to be unavailable. All accommodations must be approved through the Disability Resource Center (DRC) in Administration Annex room 205 in Pullman. 335-1566, e-mail drc@mail.wsu.edu.
