The Lange laboratory investigates the pathways leading to
natural products (with an emphasis on
isoprenoids
) using functional genomics and
systems biology approaches.
We study plant metabolism as an integrated and interacting network of genes, proteins and biochemical reactions.
Systems biology is enabled by recent and continuing advances in analytical and computational technologies.
The ultimate goal is to move beyond the description of metabolic networks to targeted prediction
and metabolic engineering. |
