Current Research Interests

This past summer I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Greg Russell to conduct research entitled "Profiling: Can we predict the probability of future criminality?."  I presented my work at the 2nd annual Washington State University McNair Research Symposium.

Abstract
This paper gives a brief history of profiling and how it evolved as a special form of investigation for law enforcement in the United States.  The claimed importance of profiling is described and its effectiveness examined through self-reported perceptions from profiling investigators and non-profiling investigators.

Gela is currently a Ph.D. student at Florida Atlantic University
