  1. A BIG week coming up! No play to read, and no quiz, but this Monday PROJECT 6 is due (See Packet pp. 57-62). Make sure to complete and staple the COVER SHEET to your 2 page paper.

  2. Monday's class is a workshop designed to get you familiar with stage terminology and the ground plan that that you will all use for PROJECT 7 (Packet pp. 63-70). It would be a really good idea to carefully look over the given blocking diagrams this weekend so that you can start to generate some possible situations.

  3. Friday is the FINAL EXAM. It will consist of 40 multiple choice questions, each worth a 1/2 point each, The test is focused around the 4 plays we have read ('Night Mother, M. Butterfly, The Piano Lesson, and The Shape of Things). The test also covers the four very short plays we read for the first week. There will also be a couple of questions on stage terminology, and there's even a question on the newspaper article I passed out entitled, Sexes and Lies.

  4. Besides looking over your notes, a good way to study for the FINAL EXAM is to look over the DISCUSSION QUESTIONS. Reviewing the Speak Easy questions would also be a really good idea. For the most part, if you followed the drift of our discussions, you should be fine.

  5. On Friday, your FRIDAY TALK Project is due. This involves printing out your postings, and stapling them to the Friday Talk Cover Sheet.

  6. It's important that everything gets turned in no later than Friday because I will be submitting your final grade on Friday afternoon. That means that if you're doing EXTRA CREDIT, we need to have it by class time on Friday. Taking a look at the GRADEBOOK should help you decide whether doing an EXTRA CREDIT project would play to your advantage. Have a great 6th Week and get ready to enjoy the rest of your summer!
