• Trip along Col. Steptoe's Route  July 12, 2008

Price for tour:  $65 for WCHS members, $80 for non-members. Payment and Registration is due by July 1, 2008.  Checks should be made payable to WCHS and mailed to Mahlon Kriebel, PO Box 361, Garfield WA 99130.  For further information call Mahlon at (509) 635-1336.

• Victorian Tea is held each spring at the Perkins House.
  Luscious snacks and Selections of Teas served by volunteers in costume
  Tours of the House
  Piano, Victrola, and Music Box music to entertain you
  Tickets go on sale in late winter
  Stay tuned for date and cost of the 2009 Victorian Tea.

• Ice Cream Social is held the Last Sunday of June at the Perkins House.
  This year's Ice Cream Social will be held Sunday, June 29, 2008, 1-4 p.m.
  There will be lots of music
  Vintage Fashion Show featuring as models, the Junior Misses and Finalists from Whitman County
  Various exhibits including one of model trains
  Vintage automobiles
  Games for the kids
  Tours of the Perkins House and the cabin
  Mouth watering homemade pies and cakes and, of course
  Ferdinand's ICE CREAM
  This year there were also hot dogs and hamburgers for those not yet ready for desert.  
  It may happen again!
