Functions: 1.
Serves in an advisory capacity to the Registrar in matters pertaining to registration and records. 2.
Makes recommendations to the Registrar and/or Vice President for Student Affairs on policies governing
registration and records. 3.
Reviews unusual requests for information and for assisting in the interpretation of WAC 504-21, University
Policy on Student Education Records. 4.
Hears appeals as defined in WAC 504-21-040. 5.
Acts in the capacity of a hearing panel as described in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974
and the Privacy Rights of Parents and Students published by HEW on June 17, 1976. Composition
and Tenure: 1.
Seven faculty, with three-year terms. (F) 2.
One graduate and two undergraduate students, with one-year terms. (G-U) 3.
