Responsibilities:

1. Developing and maintaining a NASPA Region V homepage. Actively research new higher educational links for the homepage.

2. Keeping membership informed about new Internet resources and educational sites, ListServs, and discussion groups related to Student Affairs.

3. Maintaining and updating NASPA Region V Jobsgopher - Resume.

4. Facilitating sessions on usage of electronic media at regional conference.

5. Initiating development of region-wide electronic discussion groups for each of the regional networks and as requested by the membership and the advisory board.

6. Keeping membership within the region informed about the goals of the NASPA leadership regarding new technologies.

7. Developing structural and budgetary implications for electronic communications.

8. Researching ethical implications of electronic communications.

9. Facilitating E-mail services that will be provided at regional meetings.

10. Serving as a member of the region V advisory board. This includes:

  • Participating in the 1997 and 1998 summer advisory board retreats. The first is set for June 22-24, 1997 at the Alexis Park Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Participating in the 1997 and 1998 fall advisory board meetings held just prior to the start of the western regional conference. The first is set for November 6, 1997 in Las Vegas.
  • Setting and submitting annual goals and summary evaluative reports.
  • Providing goals updates in writing (electronic, fax, or snail mail) on a periodic basis; a schedule will be established to coincide with the national advisory board update deadlines and meetings.

11. Submitting to the regional newsletter editor newsworthy information about research and professional development.
