The nominating committee obtains the consent of two candidates for election and forwards the names to the NASPA national office for election. The NASPA office prior to the regional conference sends a mail ballot to all voting delegates, professional affiliates, and faculty affiliates. A simple majority is required for election. The Regional Vice President elect is announced prior to the annual NASPA business meeting when possible at the regional conference. In the event a regional vice president resigns or becomes incapacitated or is removed, the other candidate for Vice President is invited to succeed that Vice Presidency.
