RECORD ENROLLMENT AT WSU SPOKANE
SPOKANE, Wash. -- Washington State University at Spokane's full-time enrollment for the fall 1999 semester is the highest ever for the campus, now in its 10th year.
Fall semester enrollment of 488 full-time equivalent (FTE) students represents an increase of 71 students, or 17 percent, over fall 1998.
"We are seeing healthy growth in a number of our graduate programs, such as health policy and administration, criminal justice, and architecture. As the new bachelor of science in computer engineering program starts drawing transfer students from the community colleges, and we complete the development of other programs in the works, we expect continued growth," says Campus Dean William Gray.
"As we continue to develop baccalaureate completion opportunities that fill unmet needs in the region and keep building our graduate and professional programs, WSU Spokane will contribute to Spokane's workforce and economic development."
