TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Washington State University at Tri-Cities' fall enrollment has slightly exceeded last year's number of full-time equivalent students (FTE).
Official 10th day enrollment figures show WSU Tri-Cities has 612 full-time equivalencies, compared with 604 in fall 1998. There are 206 graduate students enrolled this year, which is up from 182 last fall.
"Our new graduate programs in business and educational leadership seem to have made an impact in our graduate numbers," said Campus Dean Larry James.
Several new programs were launched this fall, including the master's degree in technology management, the field-based principal certificate program and a bachelor of arts in computer science.
Students responded positively to a new Saturday class program, also offered for the first time this fall, and a new schedule of morning classes.
"WSU Tri-Cities is trying new things and working hard to meet the needs of our diverse student body," said James. "We will continue improving and strengthening our offerings."
