CONTEMPORARY FOLK DUO TO PERFORM AT WSU TRI-CITIES
TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- Local singer-songwriters Janet Humphrey and Mary Hartman will perform a free concert from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in the Commons at Washington State University Tri-Cities.
The performance is part of the Wednesday evening music series, sponsored by the Associated Students of WSU Tri-Cities, and is open to the public at no charge.
Humphrey and Hartman are local residents and have performed across the Northwest and Canada. Their intricate harmonies and quirky lyrics have gained them a loyal following and critical acclaim.
Hartman recently performed with Pete Seeger at the Seattle Center. She also teaches songwriting for adults and children and holds music workshops at area elementary schools.
Humphrey holds degrees in both music theory and composition. She also teaches guitar and song writing.
WSU Tri-Cities is located on University Drive in Richland, just north of Hanford High School. For more information, contact the Associated Students of WSU Tri-Cities at 509/372-7351.
