November 4, 1999 MEDIA CONTACT: Marjorie Seipt, 509/372-7351, mseipt@tricity.wsu.edu Celebration of American Indian Heritage TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- The Multicultural Club, the Associated Students of WSU Tri-Cities and the Department of Energy will join together from 11-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Washington State University Tri-Cities West Building in Celebration of American Indian Heritage Month. The public is encouraged to attend the series of free workshops and demonstrations. Events include ongoing children's hands-on activities led by the Crow Shadow Art Institute from Pendleton, Ore., and demonstrations of Flintnapping and Atalatl. Storyteller Roger Fernandes of the Puget Salish Tribe will be presenting at 12 a.m. and 2 p.m. and the Wapato Longhouse Dancers will perform at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. WSU Tri-Cities is located on University Drive in Richland, just north of Hanford High School.
