December 9, 1999 Media Contact: Marjorie Seipt, 509/372-7351, mseipt@tricity.wsu.edu Community Open House at WSU Tri-Cities TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- Prospective students and other interested members of the community are invited to an open house at the Washington State University Tri-Cities campus. The informal event is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec.16, and includes tours of the campus and refreshments. Staff and advisors will also be available to talk with guests. All prospective students who register will be eligible for a drawing to win an award of $1,000 to be used toward tuition for spring semester 2000 at the WSU Tri-Cities campus. There also will be other prizes awarded to those who register at the open house. Among the more than one dozen undergraduate programs offered on the WSU Tri-Cities campus is the recent addition of the bachelor of arts in computer science. This program was designed to complement the software-engineering oriented bachelor of science degree. The degree curriculum applies computer science and software design to a variety of disciplines including pure science, business and liberal arts.
