Community Open House at WSU Tri-Cities

TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- Prospective students and other interested members of the community are invited to an open house at the Washington State University Tri-Cities campus.

The informal event is scheduled from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec.16, and includes tours of the campus and refreshments. Staff and advisors will also be available to talk with guests.

All prospective students who register will be eligible for a drawing to win an award of $1,000 to be used toward tuition for spring semester 2000 at the WSU Tri-Cities campus. There also will be other prizes awarded to those who register at the open house.

Among the more than one dozen undergraduate programs offered on the WSU Tri-Cities campus is the recent addition of the bachelor of arts in computer science. This program was designed to complement the software-engineering oriented bachelor of science degree. The degree curriculum applies computer science and software design to a variety of disciplines including pure science, business and liberal arts.

WSU Tri-Cities is located on University Drive in Richland, just north of Hanford High School. For more information, contact the Office of Student Affairs at 509/372-7250.
