Facilities
Accessibility
WSU
has been committed to barrier removal and all other appropriate
action to provide full accessibility to all of its programs and
activities for many years. The university has spent over 1.5 million
dollars since 1990 modifying physical facilities to accommodate
people with disabilities.
WSU
operates over 100 primary use buildings on four campuses and multiple
research and extension centers throughout the state. Many of these
buildings were built in the early years of the university. In addition,
several buildings have been completely renovated and new ones have
been built in recent years resulting in increased accessible facilities.
The
commitment continues through the work of a committee that addresses
specific needs as they arise and prioritizing ongoing modifications.
The ultimate goal is a completely barrier-free university.
The
accessible features of the primary university facilities can be
found on the online Pullman campus map at http://www.wsu.edu/campusmap/
and the newer campuses at their respective Web sites:
Hard
copies of this information can be obtained from the Disability
Resource Center as well.
