Much of the Cougar Cheese produced is packed and shipped to distant customers - many of them WSU alums, friends and family who have grown to love (and become addicted to) it. Students employed by the Creamery operate the Direct Marketing Department in the Creamery Annex, a new facility built on the eastern edge of campus. Besides watching over a huge refrigerated warehouse filled with ripening cheese, the students accept and process incoming phone, mail, fax and online orders year-round. Cheese is carefully packaged in our shipping department (at the proud hands of those industrious college students, of course) and leaves the facility daily on various journeys to fill eagerly awaiting refrigerators of hungry Cougar Cheese fans around the world.
