Opportunities abound with WSU Student Publications
Opportunities for Washington State University students
abound with WSU Student
Publications , home of the award-winning Daily
Evergreen student newspaper and Chinook student
yearbook.
Students majoring in a variety of areas, including
those studying in the prestigious Edward R. Murrow
School of Communication, work on the Evergreen and
Chinook. They gain practical experience ranging from
reporting and editing to photography and advertising.
Former working journalists train and advise students to
do their best work and live up to professional
journalism standards.
WSU was founded in 1890 and opened in 1892. First
published in 1895, the Evergreen is
issued Monday-Friday during fall and spring semesters
and twice a week during summer session. The first
edition of the Chinook came out in
1899.
