Admission
Admission to most of the departments in environmental research
requires a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
Admission can be highly competitive, and each department may have certain other specific requirements. A master of science degree is not a prerequisite for application
to the participating environmental research programs.
To apply
Apply for admission through the WSU Graduate School for study in a specific graduate program. Make sure you send the Graduate School all of the required
documents along with the application fee.
Contact the department in which you wish to study. Each of the departments that do work in environmental research
has different requirements for acceptance. The department or program may require you to send additional materials directly to them.
As you work with that department, indicate that you are interested in
participating in the research and training program in the Center
for Multiphase Environmental Research.
The department and the Center for Multiphase Environmental Research will then coordinate your admission and
participation in their interdisciplinary programs.
Application review
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and the response time to an individual application varies. Because both the department and the Graduate School evaluate the
application, and because departmental deadlines may vary, the notice of admission to you may take several weeks.
To inquire on the status of an application, contact the graduate recruitment coordinator in the department you have applied to. |
