DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENT
Each University unit is to locate a safety bulletin board in
an appropriate central location or in the workplace.
The safety committee and/or administrator designates an individual to maintain
the unit's safety bulletin board.
General Guidelines
Departmental personnel responsible for the bulletin board are
to:
- Place the bulletin board in a prominent location (e.g., lunchroom,
breakroom, central part of the department, near time clock).
- Designate and reserve a specific safety bulletin board or portion
of an existing board exclusively for safety material.
- Attractively arrange posted items.
- Remove or change posters, safety committee minutes and other information
that becomes dated or worn.
Required Items
The following items must be posted:
- WISHA Poster LI-416-81-000: Available from the Department of
Environmental Health and Safety.
- Industrial Insurance Poster P242-191-000: Available from Environmental
