PERS Plan 3 transfer reminder
Active PERS Plan 2 members must decide before Aug. 31 if they want to change their retirement plan. The first date to begin PERS Plan 3 participation is March 1.

Two-hour, transfer education seminars (Pullman and statewide), are already underway to assist participants. Seminars include financial modeling software that can calculate an individual’s retirement benefit projections.

Those choosing Plan 3 will benefit from early participation. For a complete list of seminars available through WSU, see www.wsu.edu/benpay/benefits/training/pers3seminars.htm. To register for a seminar, go to www.icmarc.org/pers/transfer/seminars.html, or to access the financial modeling software go to www.icmarc.org/pers/transfer/index.html. Phone support is available toll free at 888-711-8773, and e-mail assistance at pershelp@icmarc.org.

These resources, offered by the Department of Retirement Services, are the only authorized sources of transfer decision information. WSU Benefits and Payroll Services cannot advise you on your options. Additional seminars on investing begin March 1.
