June 25 on NPR
President Rawlins goes live via Seattle's KUOW radio

Washington State University President Lane Rawlins will be the featured guest in a live one-hour interview 9-10 a.m., Monday, June 25, on KUOW's "Weekday" program in Seattle.

The program will focus on Rawlin's assessment of the Legislature's newly approved 2001-03 biennial budget and how it impacts Washington State University and higher education in the state.

If you are interested in hearing the interview but do not live in the Seattle area, you can tune in live on the Internet (or after the fact via the station's "archive" file) at http://www.kuow.org/Weekday.asp.

KUOW is the Seattle affiliate for National Public Radio. The interview will be hosted by Guy Nelson, KUOW news director. Rawlins will be doing in the program from Pullman, via a microwave uplink between KWSU and the Seattle station.

The one-hour interview also will be carried live at that time on the following
NPR affiliate stations throughout the state (others affiliates may join in before the June 25 date):
