Visitors Urged to Plan Ahead
for Dad’s Weekend Events
Pullman, Washington– People coming to campus for Dad’s Weekend (Nov.
9 -12) are encouraged to plan ahead to avoid possible traffic and parking problems.
Events on Friday and Saturday will bring many people to campus.
On Friday night at 6:30, the Cougar Men’s basketball team takes on Eastern
Washington University at Beasley Coliseum. Later that evening at 8:30, the WSU
Women’s Volleyball team takes on Stanford University in Bohler Gym.
On Saturday, events include football versus Stanford at 3:30 p.m. in Martin Stadium.
The Doobie Brothers concert follows at 8:30 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum.
“Having these major events on campus is exciting, and we want to get the
word out to people to be ready for the parking and traffic challenges,” said
Bridgette Johnson, field operations manager for parking and transportation.
Season basketball ticket holders will notice that their usual parking areas will
not be available on Friday night due to RV parking for the football game.
