Payroll System Changes

Changes to the Payroll System for the July 2009 RG1 pay cycle:
1.

New Work Study Transfer Projects

The projects for Work Study transfer accounts have changed for the new fiscal year.  They are:

Federal Work Study (FWT) 7801 from  0809 to 2010
State Work Study (SWT) 7802 from 0809 to 2010
2.

Department of Retirement System Rate Changes

Per DRS Notice 09-007 issued June 1, 2009, for earnings paid as of July 1, 2009:

Employer Contribution Rates:
PERS 1 from  8.31% to 5.29%
PERS 2 from  8.31% to 5.29%
PERS 3 from  8.31% to 5.29%
LEOFF 2 from 8.99% to 8.61%

Employee Reduction Rates:
PERS 2 from  5.45% to 3.89%
LEOFF 2 from 8.83% to 8.45%
3.

WFSE Representation Fee

Decrease the maximum monthly fee amount effective July 1, 2009 from $57.55 to $55.70. Also, the deduction rate goes from 1.13% to 1.09%.  GTN 172 WFSE Rep.
4.

State Share Changes

The monthly employer-paid contribution for benefit-eligible employees has changed effective July 1, 2009, from $561.00 to $745.00.
