Payroll System Changes

Changes to the Payroll System for the July 2011 RG1 pay cycle:
1.	New Work Study Transfer Projects The projects for Work Study transfer accounts have changed for the new fiscal year. They are: Federal Work Study (FWT) 7801 from 2011 to 2012 State Work Study (SWT) 7802 from 2011 to 2012
2.	WFSE Representation Fee Decrease the maximum monthly fee amount effective July 1, 2011 from $53.14 to $54.42. Also, the deduction rate goes from 1.04% to 1.07%. GTN 172 WFSE Rep.
3.	State Share Changes The monthly employer-paid contribution rate for benefit-eligible employees is staying at $850.00.
4.	Change in WorkStudy Split The work study split between department cost and work study program cost changes for all three types of work study programs (State, Federal and Institutional) from 30%/70% to 40%/60%. The department share, which appears on the PEARS, will increase from 30% to 40% of the Total Gross Paid.
5.	New Rates Department of Retirement System: New rates have been installed effective July 1 for these plans: PERS: Pers 2 Employee reduction goes from 3.90% to 4.59% Pers 1, 2, 3 Employer contribution goes from 5.31% to 7.07%
