Business professor new senior editor of MIS journal.

A professor in the Washington State University College of Business has been named a senior editor for one of the premier national journals for the academic discipline of information systems.

Joseph S. Valacich, the George and Carolyn Hubman Distinguished Professor in Management Information Systems at WSU, is one of 15 senior editors for Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ).

MIS Quarterly is a peer reviewed scholarly journal. The journal’s editorial objective is to communicate knowledge about the development of IT-based services, the management of information technology resources, and the economics and use of information technology with managerial and organizational implications.

Dr. Valacich joined the WSU faculty in 1996. He received a doctorate in business, MIS, and operations management from the University of Arizona in 1989 and an MBA (1983) and bachelor’s degree (1982, computer science) from the University of Montana.
