Tim Pavish was appointed as vice president for University
Relations on July 14, 2008 by WSU President Elson S.
Floyd, Ph.D. Pavish will also continue to serve as
executive director of Alumni Relations and the WSU Alumni
Association (WSUAA), a position he has held since coming
to Washington State University in September, 2003.
A graduate of WSU's Edward R. Murrow School of
Communication, Pavish has over 27 years of experience in
marketing, advertising, and communications. Prior to
joining WSU, he was a managing partner in the Seattle
office of DDB Worldwide Inc., one of the world's largest
international advertising, public relations, and
communications agencies. As managing partner, he was
responsible for directing the advertising division, the
largest and most profitable of the agency's four
operating units.
Pavish serves on the WSU Foundation Board of Trustees,
WSU Athletics Foundation Advisory Committee, WSU
Athletics Council, and the Murrow School's Professional
Advisory Board. He is a past winner of the WSU
Foundation's Outstanding Volunteer Service Award.
University Relations is responsible for advancing
Washington State University through internal and external
communications, strategic marketing, major university
events, media relations, and the development of
relationships with key constituency and influencer groups
throughout Washington and beyond.
