WSU Campus Wireless Networks

Welcome to Washington State University's Wireless Setup Page


Overview:

WSU Pullman hosts the following wireless network services:
 

     - High Speed Wireless Access using WSU Wireless
          (setup instructions)

     - Low Speed Wireless Access using wsunexus
          (for devices unable to use WSU Wireless - legacy setup instructions)

     - Guest/Vendor access using WSU Guest
          (currently available in the CUB only)

Which service should you choose?:


      WSU Wireless: provides the best wireless service (using PEAP protocol) for Student, Faculty, Staff and Friends who have a WSU Network-ID, or WSU-Friend-ID. (we recommend all Students, Staff and Faculty use the WSU Wireless service)

     wsunexus: is a legacy service which requires use of VPN client software. It should be used when your wireless device is not capable of using the WSU Wireless service. (we recommend users switch to the WSU Wireless service.

     WSU-Guest: provides limited-time access for people visiting WSU Pullman for special events. Guest access is currently offered in the CUB building.

     WSU Wireless Instructions: (this page) provides browser access to instructions for connecting to and using the above wireless network services.

General Requirements:

      WSU Network ID: Enrolled Students, Active Faculty, and Staff

     WSU Friend ID: Parents and Alumni
          - You will need an active Staff or Faculty member to sponsor your wireless access

     WSU Guest Account:
          - If you need a WSU Guest account please see the CUB Front Desk.
