Should you wish to print all or part of the syllabus you will want to omit the photos. Directions are given below. The web format includes hyperlinks (highlighted, underlined titles) to all web-based readings and on-line assignments. To access readings or assignments, click on the hyperlink. When there is a web based reading assignment you find a hyperlink in the reading assignment that will take you directly to it. If needed, a set of instructions for navigating through the site will be included with the reading assignment. Since site addresses change or may disappear altogether, always use the links provided on the web site to access readings. Nursing process, nurse/client roles, communication, relationship, basic needs and teaching learning theories will be introduced. COURSE DESCRIPTION: This introductory course is designed to provide the foundational material for all subsequent nursing courses. The course is closely correlated with the concurrent nursing practice course. Nursing concepts which underlie the nursing care of well/ill clients across the age spectrum of young adult through senescence will be explored.
