about teaching vita projects

I am an Assistant Professor of English at Washington State University. My specialities are the rhetorics of new media and design, digital technology and culture, composition pedagogy, multimedia authoring, American Indian rhetorics, and feminist rhetorical theory. I earned my Ph.D. in Rhetorical and Technical Communication in 2006 from Michigan Technological University. My current research explores how online design impacts the ways we participate and perform identities in online spaces. More specifically, my current research examines how mixed-blood American Indians understand and compose identity in online spaces, as well as how the spaces of social networking encourage particular types of identity constructions.
