Context Areas for A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court

Although your final project for this section will ask you to take a passage from the novel and annotate it using a number of different contexts, for the next few lectures and your discussion classes you’ll need to choose one of these contextual areas and make it your own.  The idea is that each class will have a number of “context experts” in each area to aid in class discussions and in the annotation work you’ll be doing during the discussion sections.

You will want to find out more about the subject of your context area.  This is not a research paper, but you may want to look up some information about your topic.

Part of your final project will be a short (300-350) word discussion of the ways in which your particular context area relates to the book as a whole.
