1. Knowledge, or jñana, is gained through listening or learning; experience (or judgement) is gained through perception. This teaching is predominately concerned with explaining the difference between the two. Knowledge is spiritual and transcends concepts; experience is always perceptual, concept based, logical, and bound to objects.
