Demise of the Ecosystem

If the lake falls to 6352 feet, the scientists warned of the "demise" of the present lake ecosystem. Salinity would be 150 g/l; hatching of brine shrimp would probably cease. The "blue ribbon panel" predicted that the present aquatic ecosystem will have been destroyed, except perhaps for small refuge populations of shrimp and flies where fresh water is flowing into the lake.
