The CEC review process can take around 12 months once the developer has
demonstrated that the necessary data is available.
I have heard that "data adequacy" takes around 1 month and that
the average time inerval between "data adequacy" and approval
is 12.3 months. On the other hand, I have heard some developers caution
that the review process can take 24 months or more.
AB970 was passed in the Summer of 2000. It calls for an expedited review
of certain projects. For example, if the projects have met air quality rules
and comply with land use regulation, the review process is expected to be
around 6 months. |
