2007 Growing Season Temperatures
The new specific gravity rating scale has been used again this year,
reflecting the changes in industry grower contracts.
All other evaluation rating scales and methods are the same as shown on the home page.
The new scale is as follows:
- 5 = 1.083 - 1.088
- 4 = 1.081 - 1.082 & 1.089 - 1.091
- 3 = 1.080 & 1.092 - 1.093
- 2 = 1.078 - 1.079 & 1.094 - 1.095
- 1 = 1.076 - 1.077 & 1.096 or higher
- 0 = 1.075 or lower
In addition to our percentage of black spot bruise we have added a color rating scheme this year. The bruises that rate 3, 4 or 5 are used in the percentage calculation. The color columns are an average of all impacts
The rating system is as follows:
- 1 = No bruise
- 2 = White Knot bruise
- 3 = Less than 50% of the impact area darkened
- 4 = Greater than 50% of the impact area darkened or the whole area is light brown
- 5 = Full impact area is dark
