If you have not purchased the lab supplement, please do so before next weeks lab.  The URL you need to access Geology 101 Library module is

Before you come to lab next week (Aug 28, 29, 30) complete the library module and print off the following parts to be handed into your TA:
    1) reference list (MLA format) of the 5 newspaper articles you found on your topic
    2) the assessment evaluation for the article you have selected
    3) a short summary of the article and how this geolgical event may affect your life

    You may attend either, both or any part of a study session.

- This links gives all the details for the photo project and
                      an example of a full credit project, one with bonus points,
                      and what to avoid in your project.

            The idea is to have you apply what you have learned in this
             course.  So go out and actively look at your surroundings. 
             The topics are not limited to lecture or lab.  You are
             encouraged to work on the project early and talk with your
             TA or myself about your photos.  

             You may use photos you have taken from previous trips as
              long as you make arrangements ahead of time.  Internet
              photos passed off as your own will substantially reduce
              your score (ie. a zero).
