Grades
The syllabus states that you need at least a 60% in both lecture and lab in order to pass the course and you can not miss 3 or more labs.  If either of these conditions is not met, then it is an automatic failure for the course.

Grades are posted by the last 5 digits of your WSU ID number in numerical order. Final exam scores are recorded but not labs or Final Course score. I will try to have the final grades posted by Friday evening.

Project 1 – Photo Project

Much of geology is about making observations and then deducing what happened. The idea is to have you apply what you have learned in this course. So go out and actively look at your surroundings, take photographs, identify structures and processes, and then make interpretations of what has happened in the past. The topics are not limited to lecture or lab.  You are encouraged to work on the project early and talk with your TA or myself about your photos. You may use photos you have taken from previous trips as long as you make arrangements ahead of time.  Internet photos passed off as your own will substantially reduce your score (i.e. a zero).
