  1. Discuss the differences and similarities of Evolutionary Psychology and Human Behavioral Ecology.  Is there and hope for a unified approach?
  2. What are the major biological and cultural adaptations that we see from the evolution of Australopithecines (both gracile and robust) to Homo Habilis?
  3. Discuss the differences in behavior between the primate species discussed in class. 
  4. Discuss Kin Selection Theory.  What are the main points to this theory and how does it work?  In your opinion, are there any problems with this theory?
  5. Discuss the three hypotheses of why mothers invest more time in offspring than fathers.
  6. What is the Trivers/Willard Hypothesis?  What does it say about male to female sex ratios and how it applies to offspring investment?
  7. Discuss the differences between Chimpanzee and Bonobo societies.  How have the environments and interaction with other apes shaped the differences between Chimps and Bonobos?
  8. Discuss the differences between male and female attraction and mating strategies.  Be sure to include a discussion of short and long term relationships and the role of sexual fantasies.
  9. What is the role of pornography in society?  What is the traditional view and what is the different perspectives of Attwood (2005)?
  10. According to Jared Diamond what animal has the strangest sexual practices?  Provide five characteristics that make this animal the strangest in terms of sexual behavior.
