This is a quick guide for information on academic
helps, community resources, news, and funding options relevant to
graduate and professional students.
Funding - Show
Me the Money
Graduate
and professional students have several options for funding including
teaching and research assistantships as well as scholarships. Check
out the Funding Sources
page for funding sources within WSU. In addition, graduate and professional
students may seek Extramural
Funding for their research and scholarship.
Tuition Payments
and Payroll Deduction
Would you like to spread out your tuition payment for the duration
of the semester? Payroll Services offers a payroll deduction program
for those graduate students on assistantship appointments. To learn
what fees are eligible for payroll deduction and if you qualify
for enrollment go to the graduate
student payment deduction webpage.
International Students and Tax Witholding
If you are an international student with an immigration status of
F, J, or H1B and you will be working at WSU, you may be able to
exempt your income from federal withholding taxes if a tax treaty
between the United States and your home country exists. Taxes are
a fact of life for just about anyone working in the United States
and they are very complicated. To increase your understanding, Payroll
Services offers a number of informative webpages. >>
