Tune-In

KUGR is a rock-formatted student-run radio station located in Pullman, WA at the top floor of the Murrow Building on the campus of WSU. What makes KUGR different from many other stations is that we are a cable radio station. This means that our signal is distributed through the local cable company in the same way as cable TV. Cable radio offers CD quality sound and can be hooked up to almost any system. If you have cable, you can tune in to KUGR! You can hear the best new music on KUGR as well as classic rock from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's! But when you listen to KUGR you get much more than great music! Catch play-by-play Pac-10 action from KUGR Sports, campus news five minutes to every hour, win concert tickets and free CDs, and catch specialty shows.

On Cable:

It's simple: to get KUGR on cable, first find your FM antenna at the back of your stereo, you will want to connect this to your cable coming from the wall. For best results, you will want a Cable/FM splitter. This will divide your cable signal into separate signals for TV and FM. You can find one of these easily in the Board of Directors office at KUGR. They are only $1.00! You may also need an extra coaxial cable, or a two-pronged UHF adapter. Just read through the directions and take a look at your stereo's FM antenna to determine which of these parts you may need.

First, unplug all devices including your TV, VCR and stereo. Take the cable running from the wall and detach it from your TV or VCR. Now attach this cable to the end of the splitter with one connection. You have now split your cable signal. Depending on what type of FM antenna your stereo has, you will need to attach the cable differently. See diagrams below for the different ways to connect to either a wire or steel antenna. If your stereo does not have an antenna, look for a screw or port labeled "300 ohms" and attach the cable there. KUGR broadcasts on 95.1 If you have any questions about KUGR or hooking up to cable radio, call KUGR at 335-5042.
