Loose clumps of wiry branches with ferny, gray-green leaves. Bright flowers open on the ends of the branches. |

Blooms continuously from early summer until frost. Bloom is heaviest early in the season. Most flowers are bright orange. Some plants produce yellow, white, red, or pink flowers. |

Low; can grow in many parts of the West with no supplemental irrigation. |
Culture and maintenance |
Plants generally are not available from garden centers and must be started from seed. Seeds are typically sown outdoors in the place they are to be grown. Plants produce viable seeds which will germinate the following year. Relatively free of insect and disease problems. |
