Current Research Interests
How children's literature is choosen in the classroom and what are the criteria that teachers and librarians follow and what type of books are children reading and why.

Brief Biography
My name is Laura Brett and I am currently a senior at WSU. I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in elementary education. I have one younger brother and also an older sister and an identical twin sister, too. I am originally from Palatine, IL which is 40 miles north of Chicago. My family is still all in Chicago. I have been married for about 5 1/2 years. My husband is also attending WSU. I met my husband over the internet and we got married about one month after we met in person. We lived in Longview, WA which is on the west side of the state for about 3 1/2 years before moving to Pullman in June of 2001.
