This paper will be due on Friday of week 14. It will be 8-10 pages long. It will be written in APA style. You will use library research. Sections 7 and 8 in the handbook will be particularly useful to you as we work through this.

Topic: you will investigate models that do work in solving drug problems.

The research question: What are some effective ways of dealing with drug problems?

The organization of this paper is simple:

1. The introduction will focus on solutions that have not been successful and why they haven't worked. For this, you will need to rework your second paper.
2. In the thesis, you will raise the question of what has been successful. You will develop a thesis of response to the question.
3. In the body of the paper you will answer that question by looking at evidence of successful efforts against drugs in at least three different countries.

You will explain the particular problems addressed (user/trafficker/etc.), the scope of the problem in each country, and the successful efforts of that country to deal with the problem. You will discuss why and to what extent the effort is successful and whether or not the effort could be replicated/modified/etc. in other countries with similar problems.
