Richard A. Gill

Richard Gill received a B.S. in Conservation Biology from Brigham Young University (1993) and a Ph.D. in Ecology from Colorado State University in 1998. While working at Duke University as a postdoctoral associate, Dr. Gill investigated how grassland ecosystems respond to past and future atmospheric carbon dioxide. Currently, Dr. Gill is an associate professor in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Washington State University. He has authored papers that have been published in Nature, Ecology, Ecosystems, and The New Phytologist and his work has been reported on by the BBC and National Public Radio. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, and the US Department of Agriculture.
