cards
alright, so erik and I just went down to dissmores and john's birthday is tomorrow(like 20 mins away) so we were looking through birthday cards, and that's when I realized how dumb cards are these days... one of them literally said
"Birthday's are like..." on the outside with a picture of a cat
inside - "getting fixed"
that is just a party pooper card. what happened to humor?
plus I saw one today under "inspirational" that had the word bitch in it. amazing.
time to get back to arch

Finally, a venue for this story!
I was looking for a card at a drugstore once (and not having much success, since as you noticed, they're all lame), and there were these two women there, reading the (lame) cards to each other very loudly and exclaiming "gol!" after each non-punch line. Gah! I'm irritated just thinking about it. It would have been different if I could have left (or if I could have told them the cards weren't funny, and to SHUT UP!), but I needed a card.

it's funny how sometimes life puts you in situations like that. you can't leave, but you hate staying there.
