Choco....

Choco is a seven year old, male labrador retriever presented with anorexia, depression, icterus and fever. This case emphasizes the subject of hematology. The case takes about 15 minutes to complete and is designed for the junior or senior professional student. There are 21 questions for the user to answer. The user may view feedback for more than one answer to each question. The first answer to each question will be scored as either correct or incorrect. The user is presented with their score at the completion of the program.

Endotracheal intubation......

This program demonstrates the technique for placing an endotracheal tube. It is designed for freshman or sophomore professional students. It would also be appropriate for teaching the technique to Veterinary technicians. The program takes about 15 minutes to complete.

Dawn....

Dawn is a seven year old, spayed female blue doberman pincher dog presented for evaluation of abdominal distention, weight loss and polydipsia. The dog has chronic active hepatitis. The program is designed for junior and senior professional students. The program requires 15- 20 minutes to complete. Responses to questions are not scored.

Diagnostic techniques laboratory.....

This program demonstrates 18 medical diagnostic procedures ranging from simple procedures such as intramuscular injections to more complicated procedures such as placement of a thoracic drainage tube. The procedures are demonstrated in a series of still images with text descriptions displayed from either a laser videodisc (the International Veterinary Pathology Slide Bank laser videodisc) or as digital images on the computer screen.

This program is currently being developed by David Barbee, Russel Tucker and Cheryl Dhein. The program uses a case based approach to multiple topics associated with radiography. Modules are included that present basic concepts of radiography.
