Course Objectives/Approaches:
General Education 110 and 111 (World Civilizations to 1500 and World Civilizations Since 1500) cover not only the political history of the major world civilizations, but socioeconomic, environmental, and cultural aspects (art, music, architecture, and literature) as well. In addition, the course attempts to foster critical thinking skills (comparing and contrasting, synthesizing, evaluating and prioritizing evidence) in order to prepare WSU students for the Real World in which these are the very skills employers seek in our graduates.
