The purpose of this web site is to introduce you to theoretical discussions about how we, as humans, view nature. You will be doing some reading, some web surfing, some thinking, and some writing. This is a LEARNING MODULE which means you need to work carefully through each section, reflecting on the concepts.
In order for you to intelligently write the final assignments (#4 and #5), you need to have some "tools," ways to talk about your ideas. Part One and Part Two of this module will help you. You will be asked to write responses at various points through Part One and Two. Finally, in Part Three, you will examine a web site about the Columbia River and write a response using these theoretical perspectives in your answer.
On this introductory page, you see a table containing links
to the different sections and to the assignments. You will begin this learning
module in Part One by clicking on the yellow star. At the bottom of each web
page, you will see arrows that will move you forward or backward one page.
Clicking on Home
will always return you to this introductory page and the Directory.
Good luck, good surfing, good writing!
