   And when they had come to the side of K'yäk'lu, they instantly became grave, for he asked them to pay attention to the words of the gods, and their instructions.

   "You shall attend me, for know that you are to be the guardians of the Kâ'kâ and tellers of its meanings, and givers of enjoyment to the children of men, even as you gave the enjoyment of comfort to me, when you sought me in the plain of my sorrows. You shall bear me to the people yonder, for I have tidings for them, and instluctions which you shall bear witness in aftertimes when I am not by. You shall cherish the Kâ'kâ; yes, and all other precious customs, for that purpose as for mortal life, yet unceasing, became fitted your father, my younger brother; and for that purpose were you born, you and your older sister, man-woman of the Kâ'kâ, as to the councils I am become slave yet master. But my sister, your mother, shal stay by the place she has made, maintaining it, as woman ever maintain the hearth she has made, all the days of men."
