Critical Thinking

I wonder how he does that??

Study/Discussion Questions:

1. Write your own definition of critical thinking.
2. List and be prepared to share in class 2 points from the readings in Alfaro and Paul that you would not want your classmates to miss.
3. Using the tables on p. 28-29 in Alfaro, identify your own thinking and motivation style. Discuss the implications of your style with peers in class.
4. Review the characteristics of critical thinkers (p.11). Identify the characteristics you possess and one or two  characteristics you'd like to develop more fully.
5. Review the strategies for enhancing critical thinking (Alfaro, pp. 43-46). Select one you want to focus on for the next two weeks. Discuss with a peer why and how you intend to work on this strategy.
6. Develop a mind map of the health care system as you understand it. (See Alfaro pp.272-274).
