Directions and link to Healthy People 2000/2010 site

This assignment is worth 2% of your total grade

Directions for using Bulletin board will be handed out in class.
You may wish to print these directions out so you can use them to navigate through the site.

Visit the Healthy People 2000 web site by clicking on the hyperlink. At the HP2000 home page click on the box entitled Fact Sheet. Read the three major goals of healthy people 2000 and review the list of priority areas to get a sense of the scope of the project. When you are finished you may use the back arrow on your toolbar or click on hyperlink HEALTHY PEOPLE 2000 to return to the Healthy People 2000 home page.

Once you have returned to the home page click on the box marked 2010. When that page comes up click on Fact sheet.  How does this new plan build on the Healthy People 2000 initiative? How does it differ from Healthy People 2000?

Once you are back at the home page click on the box marked Progress Reviews and use the arrow at the bottom right of the screen to scroll down through the focus areas. Select one focus area that interests you and click on the blue HTML bubble beneath the topic name to read about progress in that topic.

Click here to post a short summary of what you learned about progress in the area that interests you on the Bulletin board. Put Healthy People 2000 in the subject line and type your name at the end of your posting. Comment on a posting by another student.
